Handmade in porcelain and individually finished, this is a small vase with a distinctly bold personality — equally suited to displaying a few stems or simply being admired as an object in its own right.

Description

A striking addition to the Chloris Ceramics collection, this elegant small vase brings together an elongated, long-necked silhouette with a glaze full of movement and detail.

Its vivid amber background is scattered with tiny crystals in both light and dark shades, while larger blue crystals emerge across the surface, each consisting of multiple delicate haloes. The contrast between the warm amber and cool blue gives the piece an especially distinctive presence — proof that a smaller vase can still make a real impact.

Achieving this particular surface was far from straightforward. The vase is fired three times, and the combination of chemicals and firing processes required a long period of experimentation, adjustment and refinement before the result was just right. As with all crystalline glazes, the final pattern can never be completely predicted, making each piece individual.

This glaze is a real conversation starter at pottery fairs, where its unusual colour combination and intricate crystalline surface consistently attract attention.
